We had celebrated in Chicago with our families, so these two were pros at the whole birthday thing. It was great to celebrate with our friends and Ben LOVED playing with all the kids. It was pretty busy here, so I didn't get a whole lot of pictures of our guests, but I took some before hand of some fun owl-themed food items, and of course the kids eating cake- Thanks Crystal!
We also got a couple videos - Thanks Chris! One of my favorite moments of the day was when we had finished singing to Julia - and Ben wasn't paying any attention - and I said "Let's blow out the candle Julia!" All of sudden, here comes Ben saying, "I blow!" And then he blew out the candle and ran away laughing! :) It was pretty cute! Also, I love how Julia wasn't to sure about the signing, then slowly gets this sweet smile on her face! :)
Enjoy the pictures and videos!

Owl S'mores as favors!
(I stole this idea from Pinterest, but adding the party hats was my idea! :)
Julia's Birthday Plate
Favors with a "Thank Hoo For coming" sign
My Cheese Owl (another Pinterest Inspired idea!)
Rice Krispie nests with chocolate, peanut butter, and butterscotch chips
Peanut M&Ms are the eggs. :)
Owl Cake - I tried to make my own...it didn't go well. So we bought a pre-made frosted cake from the store, I had a former parent make the owls (she executed my ideas perfectly! Frosted Bliss Cakes in Holly Springs! :) I added the tree and the writing.
Julia's smash cake - this one I did all by myself. :)
I happened to find these on clearance for 99 cents at Michaels!
I just used some old felt to make a party hat!
The purple bow is actually a hair clip.
I can reuse it and clip it on to Julia's headbands!

Chris decided to tie a balloon to Julia's romper.
Not sure if he was trying to make her float away, or make it easy to spot her!
Even dinosaurs party in our house! :)
Happy Birthday to our sweet babies! Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate our little ones - including our families and friends back home! I have a whole year to start planning the next party and Eric is already asking me what the theme will be. I think he secretly enjoys planning/throwing the parties as much as I do! :)
