Wegner Family Fun: A visit from Meemaw

It's been a crazy few weeks and this post is a little overdue - but better late than never, right!?

Two weeks ago, my mom came for a visit (Meemaw) and I went back to work and then we had a visit from our newly engaged friends Ivan & Cristina! :)

On March 26th, Benjamin turned 9 months old and decided it was time to get movin! He still hasn't decided that crawling is efficient, but gets around by rolling and scooting. He can use objects to pull up to knees and sometimes pull to standing with a little help. He's started trying to climb out of our arms as well! Yikes! He is also now a pro at going from sitting to his belly and back to sitting. And of course he is still totally into food! So much so that he will pull on my arm to get food! And he is using "more" in sign language to ask for more food!

My mom was here from March 27th through April 1st. She got to watch Ben all day on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I am pretty sure she loved every minute of it! Thursday night, I got to meet Eric for a dinner date in Raleigh - after waiting an extra 2 hours while he was stuck on a call! :( Friday, Eric was off and took a little trip to Greensboro/ Winston-Salem to go hiking. On Saturday, we all took a little trip to Stickboy for lunch and just hung out a little bit. Then Eric and I got another Date Night while mom stayed home with Ben. This time we did dinner at a new place in Raleigh - Jabarra, an upscale Mexican restaurant. It was pretty good, but Dos Perros is still our fave! Then we went to the movies to see "Friends With Kids". On Sunday, Mom, Ben, and I did some shopping and lunch with a quick stop at the park before she had to go to the airport. We can't wait til she comes back at the end of July when our new arrival will be here!
